Second-placed Derry City threw the Eircom League title race wide open by beating leaders Shelbourne at the Brandywell on Tuesday night.Stephen Kenny's team are now just three points behind with a game in hand.
Derry City took the lead on 53 minutes when Ciaran Martyn followed up after his first effort had been saved by Shels keeper Steve Williams.
Pat McCourt got Derry's second goal in the 64th minute with a nice finish after a Gary Beckett pass.
